FOXES - A CELEBRATION

Once in awhile you witness something in nature that truly touches your heart and changes you forever.
Valarie did.
And she has written a book about her experience. An experience with a family of foxes in her front yard. An experience that she can now share with the world. . .

The Fox Diaries by Valerie Budayr
From her discovery of the mother fox in her front yard, to the kits being born and raised, this book is filled to the brim with glorious photos, information and humor. It is delightful.

Perhaps her fox journey will stir your heart as well.

The book has already become an enjoyable learning experience in my Earth School and has encouraged the children to share their own personal experiences .

In celebration of her book launch, Valarie is giving away a hardbound copy of The Fox Diaries here on Child in Harmony.

Please leave a comment to be entered to win.

You may also purchase the book here.
For a 15% discount, please type in the word FOXES in the coupon code box.

Valarie is an inspiration to me and I am so happy to be part of her blog tour. Be sure to visit Valarie's blogs here and here.

  2. How cool!! In my last house we had a family (foxes)down the street that came out each feeding to eat horse grain with the horses. They sat patiently (a foot away) until the horses finished. I will order the book. thanks for sharing

  4. A few months ago our dog pulled his leash out of my son's hand and took off into the woods. The two of us, plus a neighbor, went looking. I heard a "Yip, yip!" and the noise of two animals crashing through the woods. Just then I came upon my dog, and a fox, facing each other three feet apart, with my dog in a play bow. They had been having fun!

  13. Oh honey, did you ever twang my heart strings with this post. Jeff and I have had so many wonderful encounters with fox, including one who always slept outside his office window (on our island). One used to go for walks with us late at night, and we once witnessed mama and babies dancing and leaping stiff legged under a full moon.

Thanks for this posting dear friend.
