One year we made a simple paper advent calendar and wrote different book titles on the back to read each day. It was a fun time to look forward to and snuggle.
I came across another Advent calendar I wanted to share. It's on Natalia's blog, Make Monthly.
It would be perfect for children because it allows them to open a small box each day. And they follow the directions inside. The thrill of opening gifts never ends!
Read all about it here.
happy day!
We always use an Advent calendar in our home which shows Joseph and Mary's trip to Bethlehem. It was a great way for the children to learn about Jesus's birth while having fun. Ours has little books.~~Dee

wow, thanks! I am so glad you like it. aren't advent calendars the best?! Thanks for sharing ours!
ReplyDeleteLove your simple ideas. Love the card collage. And especially the collage of holiday sentiments. I love quotations. Word are very special. And I must go back and read your Have Heart post because I can tell it is something I can relate to and yet right now, it is time to go to bed and I can't concentrate properly. Tomorrow I shall take it all in. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteAdvent calendars are awsome. Two years ago I got a wooden one at Cracker Barrel. I spend all year getting things for eacy day and drop it off for my 3 nieces at Thanksgiving. They love it and call me once a week to tell me what they liked. It is a lot of fun. They don't ever forget to bring it back to me at Christmas so I can fill it up again. It is a great way to bond with the girls since they live so far away.
