I purposely put it against the wall in the kitchen to remind myself to make my farm sign. I always need reminders because I have so many things going on at once.
I couldn't imagine what the sound was, the first time I heard it from the other room, but I am more than happy that she use it.
Wouldn't YOU rather have your cat scratch a board than your upholstered furniture?

Yep, scratching posts and all the things a kitty needs and Linus still loves the carpet. I think I'll get a board! HA! Char
We have had scratching posts, blocks of wood and other things, but still the kitties like the lounge...just the lounge...not the wooden table, cupboards, beds or anything (oh Cleo does the carpert too!).I would so like it if they left the lounge alone, replacing covers is getting annoying!
Oh, I wish my cat, the Batcat would use something like that.;) He scratches my carpets and furniture and all the purchased scratching boards are left untouched.;)
I truly love the description in your profile, I think it is a personification of a life I would love to live...
