OUTSIDE OF COURSE

This is DAY 7 of the Great Outdoor Challenge.  It is never too difficult for any of us to be outdoors. It's how we live our lives. It comes natural to us.

Spring still amazes all of us though, with all the new life emerging. There is something new to discover every day. Each day truly is a gift.

She noticed the new leaves on the Linden tree

The Linden tree is one of our favorites on our land. The leaves are so pretty and become very thick and sturdy, almost leathery.  We have even used them in many art projects. And in the fall they turn a glorious yellow color.

"Mighty oaks from little acorns grow"

A creature was found under some old hay...a caterpillar?

...that curled up when  touched .

We are not sure what kind it is, do YOU know?

Don't know about that grubby critter, wish I could tell you.

LOVE the sprouting acorn.

Collect some blossoms from the linden tree when it blooms. they make a yummy tea and is good for fevers. I wish I had one in my yard!

Thank you for the kind comments everyone.

Lisa, that's terrific about the Linden tree. Thanks for the tip. I'm going to find more info on that and on other *edibles* on our land.
